Class Offerings...
Puppy Class 6 weeks
1 hour
For puppies 2 months to 6 months of age. Emphasis is on
socialization with people and other pups, play training,
housebreaking and problem solving. The puppy is introduced
basic obedience commands, including sit, down, come, stand,
and walking on leash. We feature the

Program
Basic Obedience I 6 weeks 1-hour
This class is for dogs and puppies that have been
through a puppy class but are not quite ready for a Novice I
class. Dogs should know sits and downs and have some training
for sit stays and down stays.
Novice I 6 weeks 1-hour
For dogs and puppies one year of age and older. Novice I teaches your
dog some basic attention skills that are necessary for a well
behaved companion. Formal heeling, sit stays, down stays,
stand for exam, and the formal recall are taught in this
class.
Novice II 6 weeks 1 hour
Basic attention is taught to the dog/handler team. Heeling,
the formal Figure 8 is introduced; class will work towards
off-leash heeling. Off leash stays are practiced. The formal
stand for exam is taught. The finish is added to the come and
sit front to result in a formal recall. Novice I is a
prerequisite for this class.
Pre-Trial Novice 6 weeks 1 hour
This class is for individuals that are getting
ready to show their dog in an AKC Obedience Trial at the
Novice level. The class will concentrate on precision heeling
and the fine points that will help you achieve higher scores
in an obedience trial. The class offers methods that will help
the dog focus on the handler and deal with distractions in the
ring.
Open - 6 weeks 1-1/2 hours
This class is for those interested in obedience competition at
the Open Class level. Beginning basics of all the Open Class
exercises will be taught. Pre-Trial Novice is a prerequisite.
